Organic Raw Goat's Milk Beer Soap | Rompo
Sorry! This product is currently unavailable.
Rompo beer soap is handmade at Little Seed Farm using raw goat's milk from their own dairy herd and Rompo Red Rye Ale from Jackalope Brewery. The beer itself is a deep red ale with notes of fruit and caramel, while the rye contributes a spicy and clean finish. To enhance those characteristics, Little Seed Farm adds rosemary and patchouli essential oils, making this a warm and welcoming soap that's sure to be staple around the house.
What's up With the Name? Rompo is mythical beast with the head of a rabbit, the ears of a human, the front arms of a badger, and the rear legs of a bear. Jackalope Brewery is named after a mythical creature, and so are its brews!
Handcrafted in small batches with fresh Raw Goat's Milk from their own sustainably and humanely raised dairy herd, Little Seed Jackalope Soaps are perfect for everyday use and safe for those with sensitive skin, little ones included. Every bar is gentle, nourishing, and free of artificial perfumes or dyes.
To reap the maximum moisturizing benefits, lather well and rinse only until the suds have disappeared. This will leave a silky layer of milky goodness to protect and heal your skin! Also, because Little Seed Farm does not use palm oil (a hardening agent) for ethical and environmental reasons, their soap bars will soften if left in a pool of water. Use a draining soap dish and keep your Jackalope Beer Soap away from direct streams of water to keep it at its best!
Ingredients: Jackalope Bearwalker Beer (rich in amino acids, minerals, and vitamins, notably B5-pantothenic acid, which improves texture and luster of both skin and hair), Raw Goat's Milk (gentle, nourishing, full of minerals and vitamins, and naturally moisturizing), Food Grade Activated Charcoal from Bamboo (attracts and binds toxins, poisons, pollutants, and irritants; gently exfoliates and deep cleans sensitive skin), Organic and Cold Pressed Olive Oil (full of antioxidants such as vitamins A and E, that neutralize free radicals), Certified Organic Coconut Oil (strengthens underlying tissues and removes excess dead cells on skin surface), Certified Organic Lavender Essential Oil
Farmers and Makers Eileen and James Ray moved to their farm outside of Nashville in Lebanon Tennessee in early 2012, after spending "one too many years" living the city life in NYC. Getting back to their roots, they found, was the only way to realize their dreams. Their mission at Little Seed Farm is to provide raw milk farmstead cheeses, organic skincare products, and humanely and sustainably raised meats.
From the Makers:
"What we stand for:
- Creating chemical-free, safe and nourishing skincare
- Raising and serving our community healthy, nutrient-dense food
- Providing our animals with a natural and humane environment
- Using nature to guide our animal husbandry practices
- Seeking methods that limit the use of outside inputs
- Adopting practices that utilize the full cycle of nature and minimize waste
At Little Seed Farm we endeavor to create a farming model based on true sustainability, relying on as few inputs as possible. For us that means starting with a seed. We start with grass, forage, and botanical seeds that evolve into rich pastures and healing herbs. Our goats, pigs and chickens are the beneficiaries, happily grazing down the grass as they are rotationally grazed throughout the year. By-products of our farm are incorporated into the system whenever possible.
Whether it's through composting or through feeding leftover whey from cheesemaking to the pigs, we seek to minimize waste and pollution. By allowing our animals to graze on open land in the fresh air we believe our alternative farming model can provide the community with healthier food and the knowledge that it was produced humanely and responsibly."
