Organic Raw Goat's Milk Soap | Rose Bar
Little Seed Farm's Rose Bar is infused with uplifting and stabilizing geranium rose essential oil and finely ground rose petals to gently polish skin. Geranium Rose has notes similar to traditional rose, with complex spicy green undertones. It is not only a powerful aromatherapy oil, providing a sense of wellbeing and warmth, but also especially recommended for skin with balance issues. Overly dry or oily skin will benefit from Geranium Rose's regulatory effects on the sebaceous glands.
Handcrafted in small batches with fresh Raw Goat's Milk from their own sustainably and humanely raised dairy herd, Little Seed Farm's Farmstead Milk Soaps are perfect for everyday use and safe for those with sensitive skin, little ones included. Every bar is gentle, nourishing, and free of artificial perfumes or dyes.
To reap the maximum moisturizing benefits, lather well and rinse only until the suds have disappeared. This will leave a silky layer of milky goodness to protect and heal your skin! Also, because Little Seed Farm does not use palm oil (a hardening agent) for ethical and environmental reasons, their soap bars will soften if left in a pool of water. Use a draining soap dish and keep your Farmstead Milk Soap away from direct streams of water to keep it at its best!
RAW GOAT'S MILK - Milked fresh daily from our sustainably raised micro herd. Our goats spend their days in the sun and fresh air on Little Seed's pastures. They happily chomp on native grasses, herbs, and forages and give their thanks in the superior quality of milk they provide daily.
Goat's milk is gentle, nourishing, and full of moisturizing butterfat that soothes dry or irritated skin. Because of its unique structure, in particular its short protein strands, the abundance of natural minerals and vitamins in our goat's milk is easily absorbed into your skin, helping to moisturize, protect, and heal.
GERANIUM ROSE ESSENTIAL OIL (certified organic) - Along with it's uplifting and balancing aromatheraputic benefits, geranium rose oil has sebum regulating and gentle astringent properties.
ROSE PETALS (wildcrafted) - Ground rose petals gently polish skin and boost the geranium rose oil’s balancing benefits
OLIVE OIL (certified organic and cold pressed) - This oil has been used in skincare and health for centuries and its rich history isn't just a fluke. Olive Oil is full of antioxidants (such as vitamins A and E) that help neutralize free radicals that cause skin damage. The hydrophilic properties of these antioxidants help to form a protective barrier, trapping moisture on your skin and allowing for longer hydration. We use cold pressed, certified organic oils to ensure that only the good stuff comes through in our soap.
COCONUT OIL (certified organic) - Helps strengthen underlying tissues and removes excessive dead cells on the skin's surface, keeping skin soft.
Farmers and Makers Eileen and James Ray moved to their farm outside of Nashville in Lebanon Tennessee in early 2012, after spending "one too many years" living the city life in NYC. Getting back to their roots, they found, was the only way to realize their dreams. Their mission at Little Seed Farm is to provide raw milk farmstead cheeses, organic skincare products, and humanely and sustainably raised meats.
From the Makers:
"What we stand for:
- Creating chemical-free, safe and nourishing skincare
- Raising and serving our community healthy, nutrient-dense food
- Providing our animals with a natural and humane environment
- Using nature to guide our animal husbandry practices
- Seeking methods that limit the use of outside inputs
- Adopting practices that utilize the full cycle of nature and minimize waste
At Little Seed Farm we endeavor to create a farming model based on true sustainability, relying on as few inputs as possible. For us that means starting with a seed. We start with grass, forage, and botanical seeds that evolve into rich pastures and healing herbs. Our goats, pigs and chickens are the beneficiaries, happily grazing down the grass as they are rotationally grazed throughout the year. By-products of our farm are incorporated into the system whenever possible.
Whether it's through composting or through feeding leftover whey from cheesemaking to the pigs, we seek to minimize waste and pollution. By allowing our animals to graze on open land in the fresh air we believe our alternative farming model can provide the community with healthier food and the knowledge that it was produced humanely and responsibly."
